The cabin was clean and well furnished. The blinds need to be dusted. One of the twin beds has a floppy mattress. Other than that it was practically perfect in very way.
We were in Blue Ridge for a family reunion, and we absolutely loved the cabin. It was in a wonderful location to the reunion site and to the town. They staff was extremely friendly and helpful. It would have been nice to have the ac turned on before our arrival, but besides that, we had no complaints! We had a great time!!!
Great location, very close to tubing, rafting and Lake Blue Ridge. Management was very helpful with our late check-in. Good times had by all.
We liked the fact that it was convenient to Blue Ridge and the places we wanted to visit. The cabin was especially nice and the staff at Tica very helpful and friendly. Thank you for a wonderful weekend.
Beautiful cabin. Lovely location, breathtaking view. Really nice to sit out on the porches. Cabin was well furnished. The children were well entertained with the games provided. Some of the furniture needs replacing. Shelves in kitchen need to be fixed. Roads to cabin are narrow and it was not easy to turn around or find the cabin. This was our biggest problem. Once we were able to find the cabin without difficulty we really enjoyed the stay.
The whole family had an awesome time. I'm ready to move in! We will definitely make this trip a regular excursion.
Had a great time! The cabin was much more than I initially expected.
The carpet had several stains. The tolet in the main level bathroom kept breaking (would not flush, had to keep fixing the chain). Location was very good and easy to find. The view was not as good as some of the other cabins we have stayed in. Overall was a very nice cabin and had a great time.
The cabin allows the love birds to be alone upstairs on the third floor and the children to be on the first floor with all their own ammenities, GREAT!
I'm hoping that last years trip to Blue Ridge will be an annual outing using Tica Cabins. The cabin was perfect for our needs, as it plenty of room, was close to the activities we wanted to participate in, and was close to town. The cabin was clean and the staff helpful. I would highly recommend.
Only one small issue - parking. More than two cars is a bit difficult. Turning a full size vehicle around to exit very tough.
I've stayed at Alpine Escape 3 times, so that kind of speaks for it's self, I've loved it. Me and a group of friends have come down for the Tour de Georgia bike race the last three years and used the Blue Ridge area as a home base to head to the race stages from. This year the tour is farther southeast so, unfortunately we'll have to stay someplace further southeast. My only complaint with TICA would be, that it would be easier during the reservation process to figure out which cabins are close together (we had a large group that needed more than one cabin). When on the phone making the reservation, I asked for cabins close together, and was assured that the cabins we were booking were within a couple of miles, it was more like 10. Maybe the people on the phone don't know the area that well? Not sure, we dealt with it, but it would have been nice to know that going in, or been given some other options. Sure this is all nit-picky, but you asked.
We really enjoyed our stay. The cabin was beutiful and we really had some great fellowship and worship time. The insects are pretty bad at night, and there were some cobb webbs, other than the the place is well kept.
All of the guests had great things to say. YOu can tell that the Property Manager takes very good care of the place. We had no complaints from anyone. We've stayed in other cabins before (not with your company) and have been disappointed, but this was great! My only concern is that the bathroom ceiling on the main floor started to leak very heavily the day that we checked out. I left a message with emergency security, and I never heard back from anyone.
We had a great time. There were a few maintenance issues which we shared in the guest book in the cabin. Overall it was a great location, close to everything and we enjoyed ourselves very much.
The cabin needs some repairs,door locks,kitchen drawers,carpet needs cleaned,couch sags in the middle.We made do and enjoyed our stay.
Overall we enjoyed our stay, great amenities however a lot of the bulbs were not working and it would be great to have an outside light by the jacuzzi especially in the Fall/Winter timeframe when it gets dark early. Apart from that it was great. Thank you
Cabin was in good condition. The only main problem was dust webs, but guess this is typical in a mountain cabin. The drive into the cabin on the roads was very narrow and if you met someone, one car would have to back up to a wider spot in the road. The cabin's den area was very small for a family of 10, however most of us were on the deck most of the time. Loved the oversize shower on the lower level and the whirlpool tub on the 3rd floor.
Was very relaxing, we had 10 people and there was always something to do. Enjoyed the town and the hiking areas. The air hockey table wasn't is the greatest condition, but it still worked. The road up to the cabin was a dirt round most of the way and the driveway was a little high. The cabin was nice, it had enough room for all of us, one room didn't have a dresser for cloths, felt bad about the couple that had that room. We thought we had a problem with the dish washer, but it was human error. They had someone out there the next day to fix it. The outside pouch's were nice and big. Perfect for having a party outside, it had a place for a fire in the back, so we made smores, very nice! Can't wait to go back and have another family vacation!!!
Road was difficult to turn on to and the drive to the house was dificult.
Cabin was very comfortable. The location was convenient to the train and our activities in Blue Ridge. Unfortunately, we didn't have time to make use of the clubhouse facilities; maybe next time. We've used this same cabin twice already. The access road was a little tricky for those of us with larger vehicles. Very enjoyable.
We left our dvd charger there and called to get them to ship it to us since they were going in anyway to clean it and they wouldn't do it unless they charged us $25!!! i offered to pay for the shipping, etc. but they wouldn't do it without charging us that ridiculous fee. i wouldn't rent from them again just because the customer service was very tacky. good luck!
The lady that booked the rental was such a delight to work with!!!!!! The basement bathroom was dirty and there was a strong odor in the basement. I would use you again because she was so so helpful.
My only issue was with the SECOND chalet we rented on this same trip. The location was horrible--contruction, etc. and we were unable to get my mother in (in a scooter). Therefore, none of us even stayed there and, though we asked politely from day one, we couldn't even get the cleaning fee back. A disappointment when we have been VERY good custmers the past several years of TICA CABINS.
