Welcome to Big Sky Lodge! As you pass through the beautifully designed entrance gate you are greeted by a lovely community pond nestled in a park setting. Imagine an evening stroll amongst nature or relaxing in the swing and listening to the fountain. Further toward the top of the summit you will arrive at Big Sky Lodge. As you venture toward the front of the lodge the terrain gently drops off to the valley below only to rise dramatically toward the sky where you will be amazed at the majestic Cohutta Mountains, the largest wilderness east of the Mississippi rising to 4000’ in elevation. They appear so close you feel as though you can reach out and touch them. Pictures cannot truly captivate this panoramic scene encompassing you.
The first thing you will notice upon entering the lodge is the craftsmanship of the builder and extra pride to detail. Vaulted ceilings and custom design truly make this home a luxury. The large open floor plan is tastefully decorated in rustic furnishings and stainless steel appliances. The stacked stone gas log fireplace is a captivating centerpiece in the room. Next to the fireplace is a flat screen TV/DVD for viewing your favorite shows. A distinctive feature in the dining room is the red cedar dining table, which seats 8 and is supported by a cypress log stump. The Western and Frontier queen bedrooms complete the main floor and are equipped with SLEEP NUMBER BEDS for a great night rest.
Located in the upstairs loft is the master bedroom suite. The furnishings are red cedar with a King size SLEEP NUMBER BED for your comfort and a flat screen TV mounted on the wall. For conducting business during your extended stay we provide a work center complete with desktop computer (high speed internet), a scanner – copier- printer as well as WiFi access. A spacious walk in closet provides plenty of storage. Master bath amenities include a Jetted Jacuzzi tub, private enclosed toilet, double vanity and shower. For the musician in the family we offer a professional Yamaha keyboard for sing-a-longs by the fireplace.
The lower level offers a spacious game room equipped with a full size pool table. Other amenities include board games, air hockey, pirates of the Caribbean pinball, Playstation II, Guitar HeroII, (please bring your favorite games), A custom wet bar designed in a rustic theme is the centerpiece in the room and furnished with a refrigerator, bar sink and microwave. For watching sports stretch out on the large curved leather couch and view your favorite team on the 51” HIGH DEFINITION wide screen TV /DVD and THEATRE style surround sound. Adjoining the game room is the second King Master bedroom and bath. Rustic log furnishings, TV and a King size SLEEP NUMBER BED complete this cozy room.
After a full day of activity relax in the outdoor hot tub. The hot tub features a waterfall, colored lighting and seats up to 5 persons. This private setting under the porch next to the outdoor gas fireplace is perfect for enjoying the views and breathing in the fresh mountain air. It is not uncommon to see deer passing through the surrounding forests below.
